If you have an issue with an UKWAC crawl of your site

UKWAC gathers websites only after express permission from site owners. The Consortium’s crawler's IP address is 213.86.178.103, and it identifies itself as:

"Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; UKWAC_crawler HTTrack +http://www.webarchive.org.uk) [Contact:archiving@webarchive.org.uk]"

Our crawlers are set to a polite rate to minimise traffic on websites, however in the unlikely event that UKWAC’s web crawler is causing problems with your site please contact us at archiving@webarchive.org.uk. UKWAC will stop the crawl immediately.

If you publish a UK online electronic resource and would like your publication to be considered for preservation in the UKWAC Archive then please use our submission form.

To help assess the value of the UKWAC Web Archiving project, and determine whether or not the archive is meeting the needs of its users, we invite you to complete a brief, online feedback form.

Copyright Issues

If you need to raise an issue regarding copyright infringement, or if you have other 'legal' objections to an archive copy of a website being stored and made publicaly available as part of the UKWAC archive, please use the form provided below to give details and to ask UKWAC to investigate the issue. The relevant UKWAC partner will take action as appropriate, which may include temporary removal of the site from public access while a proper resolution is being determined. You should expect a response, indicating any initial actions to be taken, within 20 days of receipt of your form (below).
